Laurent Ferrié, alias Loferrie, is a french self-taught artist. He was born in Rodez, 1964.

In 1999, he left France to pursue a new life in the United Kingdom, where he has worked within the film industry, up until the covid years.

Since 2022, he is based in the south of France.

Loferrie started painting in 2014, and he has explored various abstract techniques.

He rapidly evolved his practice toward hard-edge geometric abstraction, and he has developed a strong recognisable style. The covid 19 pandemic offered him an opportunity to create in 2021, his first cohesive series of paintings, called "Human quantum flow".

Before moving back to France, he has taken part in various group exhibitions in and around London, UK.

Loferrie's intuitive process originates from a meditative state, giving rise to vibrant atmospheric compositions.

The core of his creative process is to bring mindfulness into the task, and promote a positive message toward a more peaceful and beautiful world.

Loferrie style is reminiscent of various movements of the 20th century, like constructivism, cubism, geometric abstraction, Opart, but unique in his own visual language.
